The University Archives will not be open Wednesday, February 10, through Monday, February 15, while the University Archivist is out of town. The University Archives will resume normal operations on Tuesday, February 16.
The University Archives collects and preserves the historical records of Creighton University, including correspondence, memos, reports, charts, minutes, programs of events, yearbooks, and other publications. In addition to written documents, the Archives contains numerous photographs, slides, films, negatives, transparencies, videotapes, audiotapes, artifacts, and memorabilia.
The Archives also stores files which are created by offices and departments of the University in the course of their daily operations and which have historical value. Departments that wish to donate records to the Archives should include a completed Transmittal Form.
Although most archival materials are not included in the Creighton Libraries Information Catalog (CLIC), the Archives staff can assist you in finding what you need from the collection, located on the lower level of the Reinert Alumni Memorial Library in the southeast corner (to the right as you exit the elevator). Because the Archives operates with limited staff, we recommend that you call ahead for an appointment with the Archivist or a member of the Access Services Department.
The University Archives possesses an extensive collection of photographs dating from the 19th century. A portion of our collection is available online at CONTENTdm.
